We drove straight home the whole 24 hours it was a very long drive not as bad as you would imagine though... this is just a quick stop so we could document the states we crossed!
The 3rd day we went to Six Flags... it was so much fun... It was blasted hot so we really liked the water slide part of the park... There was one slide that you stand in a tube and the bottom just comes out from underneath you... it was so scary but so fun at the same time... I had one of those I can't be old and made myself go on the slide.. the girls laughed so hard at me because I guess I tryed to grip the slide with both my hands and feet to save myself from dropping.
After the park. We went that night to the scarriest/ funniest hotel adventure of the trip... We walked in and let's be honest we're are Hampton snobs and like to only stay there, Tom booked us a room at the Super 8 walking in alone was scary, there were all these truckers tail gating outside, some creeper on the internet right by the elevator as we announce are room number to the world... we were scared!! When we got into the room there was this nasty bug on the bed so we all screamed and the neighbors yelled really profane language at us.... we then looked under the mattress to see if we had bed bugs we didn't but there was this nasty big blood stain on the underside of the mattress. (Winter has this whole scene on her phone I will see if I can post this)... Anyway we all grabbed our stuff and got the heck out of dodge! We drove down the street to the Hampton and got away from the hotel on "the corner of rape and murder" as said by Kaylie! We laughed for months about the whole night...
The second day after we stopped at Car henge we drove into Iowa and stopped at this little pizza place.... they did not have a bathroom so we walked across the street to some vacation bible school party to use theirs.... We acted like we were part of the church congregation.. They were very nice, Maddie left a lovely prayer.... they did some "Owling"
and "planking"
It was a nice break from the long drive..... back on the road
Car henge.... We drove across the country to go to a dance convention we being me Madz, Winter, Jaimie, Kaylie and Caitlyn.... it was about a 24 hour drive.... the first day we drove through Wyoming and into Nebraska and stayed over night, the second day we drove to Car henge it was a nice little stop.... The girls "Owling" Car Henge from a distance... Maddie Planking...Ready to get back on the road again!
As lame as it is, July also brings us our last day of school for the elementary kids.... Canyon and his new best friend Blake, it was their last day of Kindergarten (I'm so sad he will go to school all day!) Liv's last day of 4th grade!
For the 4th of July, we always perform at the Stadium of Fire... It is so much fun, the day before it is a lot of hard work in the hot hot sun, but it is worth it in the end performing for so many and getting to be down on the field for the concert and the fireworks. It does split my family (boys and girls) which I don't love but it is a fun tradition none the less... Above crazy liv a love... Liv and Meg a tron Some of our team girls with my cute girls!
On June 25th we had a performance for Tim a neighbor boy with cancer, Olivia was doing an aerial and she slipped on the polished cement and landed right on the top of her head. Crazy/strong/amazing/brave girl got up and finished the dance crying.... she then had a huge lump on her head and a very sore neck. They felt to be better safe then sorry they needed to send her in an ambulance to Primary Children's to make sure she had not seriously injured her neck or head.... (Do you like the glittery eyes and lips) Needless to say she was fine just strained the muscles in her neck and had a slight concusion. They sent us home in 10 minutes.... just a very expensive ride out of the park.... Later that night we had planned a surprise birthday for Tom he was turning 40 on the 26th.... as I walked into the hospital he met me with his phone asking what is this about... I had text everyone to see who could help make sure the party was still a go and accidentally text him as well. So the party was not a surprise, but we had fun with a giant slip and slide and food catered by Costa Vida and with all the hectiness of the day NO pictures... Sorry Tom... stinky pete still went down the slip and slide just a few hours out of the ambulance... Crazy girl. She was told not to tumble for a week and she was practically cartwheeling out of the hospital. When I reminded her she couldn't tumble she said I'm not it's just a cartwheel. Only Olivia!
After the parade, we went over to my friend Carlye's she was giving us a cabinet for the studio, we put the cabinet in this trailer and the 4 of us above and her son Brackon rode in the back up to the studio.... (what adults ride around in the back of a trailer I'm not sure but....) anyway on the way up there the trailer came unhooked from the suburban! We started going faster then the car... Tom and Cameron looked over to see us right along side of them.... Brackon and I were the only ones who could see what was going on the others were facing backwards and were just riding along... Tom and Cameron said me and Brackon's faces were so funny because we were so scared!! We luckily hit the curb and the trailer stopped with no one hurt... neighbors came running over to see if we were all okay, none of us could even talk we were all laughing so hard!! I wish we had video of this adventure!
Herriman Parade June 2011 We had so much fun in the parade this year... We used our production # theme for the year "Toy Story" above is Caitlyn Baker as Rex Maddie and the Barbie car Maddie's drill team was also in the parade, they were a few numbers before us, so she walked with them, then ran as fast as she could back to us changing while she was running! Winter as "Woody" with her theme music and fake guns! She was so funny!
Over Memorial Weekend Grand dad Maddie and Winter went down to Lake Powell to clean up the new house boat Grand dad had bought and get things ready to get it in the water... Above is Grand dad bathing... the girls thought it was funny no matter how cold the water was...hygiene above all else... They had a great time worked hard and made fun memories.... and each took a turn in the hole!! Grand dad said they actually worked really hard. Good job girls...
In April Olivia went with the Wilkey's to Hawaii They went to Oahu first and then to Maui... She was gone for 10 very long days and we missed her like crazy especially on Easter She went to Pearl Harbor, Polynesian Culture Center, the Temple and the beach of Course They got tattoo's They also went to Waimea Falls We made them little sun dresses since she would be gone for Easter... Hannah, Olivia and Abby What cute girls!! Outside the temple Thank you so much Wilkey's for giving her the experience of a Life time!!
We are about 6 shades of crazy.... and we love it that way! Tom and I (Tiffany) have been married for 16 years, I know it sounds like a long time, but it sure doesn't seem like it. Unless you are looking at the extra pounds, or hair changes/lack of....
We have 4 beautiful children. Maddie is 14, Hayden is 13, Olivia is 8 and Canyon is 4. I run a dance studio yet try to pretend I am a stay at home mom! Those 2 things together keep me far busier then I can sometimes handle!! Yet I love every minute of it and wouldn't change a thing!
