I accidentally deleted this picture form the previous post.... I have spent hours today fixing this post trying to get rid of spaces etc... and keep losing things so...... this goes with the Lake Powell story

Happy Birthday Tommy T....

Here is Tom in about 4th grade with his sister Rebecca... he really loves her. He may like to tease her but being his only sister he really has a special love for her... He loves his brothers a lot too!!! Does he not look just like Olivia!

Today is Tom's birthday..... So I will do a little tribute, it will not be his whole life like my kids, but basically our life together. (had I been a little prepared I could've gotten pictures from his mom... Don't you love the mustache?? We had a great time while shaving one morning going through all the different facial hair options... he started with the beard moved to handle bars and chops, a fu man chu and then the stache!! Good times!

Check out the pink suit... is that hot or what... He loves to rope swing into the lake, or at least he did until he broke his finger really bad, he pulled the water ski glove off and his finger was totally bending the wrong direction...He had a cast all the way up his arm!!

This is Tom's favorite picture of himself... he says because he is tan and has all that blond hair, and those really cool Sperry Topsiders! This was taken when he was about 17 up at Tibble fork (I think, I thought it was Hawaii, but big Tom said no they have never fished in Hawaii...)

One of the first qualities I really liked about Tom besides the sense of humor was how great he was with kids.... Here he is with Andrew and Corbin, we used to take them or our younger siblings on trips with us.

Tom totally loves the Ocean, he wants to live on the beach so bad....This is he and Maddie in 1999

This is Tom and I at the Nudist ranch back in 93' He is always up for doing anything spontaneous or crazy!!! One of my first favorite memories of
Tom, is we were driving back from Leman caves, and we had only been dating for like a month, we drove their and back in the same day, and stopped by a church in like a trailer in Garrison Utah on our way... when we walked into the church we were a few minutes late, and they stopped their meeting to have us introduce ourselves right during Sacrament.... it was funny especially because we had just taken turns outside behind the dumpster changing into church clothes..... We then realized neither one of us really goes to church on Vacation and have probably not done it again since! Anyway my favorite part of this trip, was we were driving through some desert and he said "Do you want to do something crazy"? So we stopped and danced in the middle of the desert to Annies song... that has since been our motto, always take time to dance in the dessert!!

I know I look so sweet in this picture, but he looks so cute, I loved this shirt!! We loved to go camping and do outdoors stuff (still do but don't seem to do it as much)

This is us on our Wedding day. I really love Tom, he is my best friend, he is so funny and easy going, you could not find some one more easy going, he has the best sense of humor and is very very patient with me!! He will wait in the car for over an hour while I chit chat and not honk or get mad just whatever all the time. I always say when people say you have a good marriage or you don't fight etc, that it is all because of Tom he is so easy to get a long with and fun to be around....but the very best thing about Tom is that I have shared everyone of the best days of my life with him!!! and then on the flip side the worst days too, and you couldn't have a better person around for both!!!

Here he is as a brand new dad!! He is the best dad too, I try to tell my kids all the time how extremely lucky they are to have Tom as their dad.... he is the reason we have great kids!

I love the self portraits shots, I think I may have gotten Tom into these and now anyone who is his friend on face book can attest he loves to take pictures of himself at all the different places he goes... (they are pretty funny)

This is us in Cedar City, we went down for homecoming with our friends Tyler and Dana.
This is us snow skiing the first time together, its not a very clear picture on here sorry... anyway it was night skiing, and I did not want to seem whimpy.. so he went down this hill and over a jump so I followed, I made the jump ok, but don't know what happened after, I fell and rolled and rolled and ended up with my skies over my head stuck in the snow... He laughed so hard, I hurt so bad, but just acted like no big deal!! Lets just say I don't love night skiing since then!!

This is the summer we got married, (it was actually just before we got married) anyway, he had only been boating like one time before, but had done so good this summer he got up on one ski and was doing ok, well he fell pretty hard and it knocked the wind out of him well he passed out and was just floating their with his eyes rolled back in his head... I started freaking out, and I guess I yelled out "Oh no is he retarded" (sorry I know a terrible word to use)... I just remember thinking if he is what are my obligations here... how rude am I??? Well he was fine, but he has always skied a little more cautiously since!!

Here he is on Halloween as Darth Maul, (however you spell it) he is a big Star Wars Geek, he love himself in this costume!!

I think this family photo is like Heaven for Tom (except we are missing 2 crucial people)

He likes to fish, or at least he used to he doesn't do it too much any more... we went deep sea fishing a few times and I think he would just rather do that!!

Here we are at Lake Powell (my favorite place on earth) Tom always has a good time too we have lots of fun and funny crazy memories of Lake Powell.

Some years we rent a big water tramp we usually go with my whole family. Well we all like to play "King of the Hill" on the tramp, everyone gets pretty ruthless!! Well one year Tom kept getting his swimming suits ripped somehow, well it was getting kind of dark and he was left on with my sister Audrey and a couple guys... well his swimming suit had ripped a little too much and so he ripped the whole thing off with just his mesh under wear thing left... Audrey immediately jumped in the lake to get away from him. He then proceeded to walk through camp in just the mesh underwear to get at my parents... it was so funny!!! Hayden however who was about 3 said "mommy why can't daddy wear a real swimming suit".... Tom is always a good time!!

Here is the first time we took the kids to Disney Land.... we had so much fun!! Tom loves to travel and always wants to do it. We love going to Disney World and the beach (He has an obsession for Florida)







Here he is working security for the temple!!! notice the golf clubs etc, always out for a laugh!! This group of guys all together I can't imagine how the 3am shift went that night!!

Tom is so good with kids, I have always been able to take off and still have a house full of kids and just say see ya and he will take care of them all... He is so great with kids he likes to tease them but for the most part like to be around him!! This is Tom, Annie Sue and Canyon

Wordless Wednesday

Hello My Father

So tonight while helping Canyon say his prayers I realized what he is saying.... I thought he just wasn't pronouncing the letters/word correctly... but in listening a little closer he says "Hello My Father"... now it is very clear once I know what he is saying... I don't know why I think it is so funny... his prayers usually crack me up anyway... sometimes they are really long and he is thankful for lights and walls and stars etc anything his one eye opened can see... other times like tonight he is just thankful for the dog... in fact his prayer was "Hello my father... thankful for the dog that's all I got" not Sophie's name or an amen just that's all I got... 3 year old little ones kill me, oh how I wish I could freeze him even in his naughtiness!! He is just so stinkin cute!

I have officially been relieved of my duties....

Today Canyon told me that he and Gus did not need me to take care of them that they could take care of themselves. I said oh ok well what are you going to do if you get hungry or thirsty? He said I can make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (which he has in the past and that was a fun mess),Gus has the drinks covered he will just get a stool he says... I reminded him that we were out of Peanut butter and he said well we will go to the "Smifs" and buy some... I asked how are you going to get there? They will walk or ride their bikes, then he thinks about this for a minute and says before you go can you ride us there because we don't want to get run over, but when we get there we can take care of ourselves you can go... Then he and Augustus discuss what other important items they will need to survive on.... their list consisted of Peanut butter, Popsicles and ice cream.... just the necessities!!
This conversation came after a LONG day of little boy naughtiness which we can not leave Owen out of his part of the 3 muskateers...anyway I guess they were tired of getting in trouble for what they were doing or being told they couldn't make mud salads in the garage and throw them on each other..... or that a bag of chips thrown all over the kitchen is going to get them yelled at. Spilling/throwing dog food all over 3x today wasn't going to fly either... They were fed up with their restrictions and I have been relieved of the job of taking caring of them, My services are no longer needed and I have been let go. This economy is really hitting hard isn't it when even the job of mom is being downsized.
Which by the way them taking care of themselves right now is not working too great they are still awake washing their cars with a cup in their room with toothpaste (which I stopped as well even after being fired!!)
He just came out to ask me how to spell turtle though so maybe until they learn to read I have a little more job security then early thought!!!!

Happy Happy Birthday Haydey Babes!!

Today is Hayden's 13th Birthday!! Check out his curly hair.... how cute is that...

He was born on a Monday 4:01 and weighed 8lbs 1/2oz and was 20inches long.... He was so cute with so much hair. We got stopped all the time when he was a baby for people to comment on how much hair he had and how usually blonds don't have a lot of hair.

Oh he is so cute, this picture was on fox news for his 1st Birthday...

Does he not look like Tommy Boy in the movie when he is petting his naughty little pet??

This is Hayden, me and Maddie at Yellowstone when he was 11/2 He loved the trip...

Hayden was Woody for Halloween, He loved Toy Story, he would get up as soon as the sun did which was really early in summer..... Good thing he learned how to put on his own movie at 1 1/2....

Check out the video controller in his hands boy did he start young!! When he was only 3 he went over to a friends house who had just gotten a Nintendo, he wanted to play and the mom said they didn't have it hooked up yet and she didn't know how....he said I can do it, and he hooked up thier whole system for them. He is quite Genius!!!

He got these superman pajamas for Christmas he would not take them off... He was 21/2 we had to take him out shopping in them where a worker at Old Navy told Maddie how lucky she was to have Superman as her brother... Maddie was so embarrassed..

Hayden and Olivia.... he really loved her back then...

Hayden's first t-ball team check out his face he had gotten run over by a 13 yr old boy on his bicycle.... he was pretty scraped up...

Hayden's first year of pre-school, don't you love his little spikey hair... He was so cute, at pre-school he either fell asleep, got put in time out and wouldn't come out or was completely scared of the puppet show.
Check out his teeth, he had fallen when he was just learning to walk and knocked his teeth lose, they tightened up but never finished growing. They didn 't ever grow enamil and one was longer then the other.. We ended up getting them capped because I didn't like the little scuffish hole he had, The weirdest thing was they put the fake teeth in uneven????

Hayden playing flag football, he had a good time, they had a play just for him called the mighty mouse because he was the youngest and smallest guy on the team

Hayden and Maddie....on Easter

He finally got a little brother, he was so excited. He and Tom and I were the only ones who knew he was a boy, we lied and told everyone we didn't know what he was and Hayden kept it such a good secret.

Hayden still plays baseball..... somedays he seems like he kind of might like it...

Last year Hayden and went to Disneyland all by ourselves... it was the best trip ever, we were able to run from ride to ride go through singles lines and meet back up and cruise through everything over and over. We loved going on the rides that took your picture and posing for them.

Here we are we both bought ourselves ears... Good times I tell ya!

We really need to do this again it was so much fun to just have the one on one time...

Check out his hair we straightened it... I think I like it short better but he sure likes it long.. He is now getting his curly hair back which I was hoping for. When he was 2 we went to get his hair cut and they just buzzed off his curls I cried and cried I knew they would not come back at least until puberty, I did not realize that would come so fast. His personality completely changed with the cutting of his hair too, Like Samsom I guess, Maybe we will get the happy Hayden back with the curls????

Hayden boating.... he likes to tube the most... for a funny story about boating and the fire extinguisher scroll down the blog to last September its a good one!!

Anyway Hayden Happy Birthday I love you you are the smartest boy I know and have a funny dry sense of humor.... your eeyore personality is quite funny at times too!

Easter

Happy Easter 2009..... How cute is this.... Liv a loves little laugh even Hayden is smiling!! This is the kids with their baskets. We give them new church clothes and a basket... they do hunt for eggs and their baskets, but we keep Easter pretty low key trying to focus more on the religious aspect...
