Nice Bum......

Where you from?

So you know how pants are always super low and you see someones bum almost daily right??? Well my brother Josh has a saying..... When someone is showing a little "crack" he says "Nice Bum where you from" so my little family has picked it up. Well Canyon and I were at the store and this lady bends down fully showing some..... Canyon turns looks at her at says to her.... "Nice Bum where you from" Oh my!!! I tried to walk away really quickly I am not sure what her reaction was, but I was laughing so hard!! (and a tad embarrassed) I guess we have not discussed that you don't ask this question to strangers!!

Just Wondering

If anyone noticed that I spelled phase wrong in the Birthday post for Maddie.... ya don't worry I rewrote it twice and knew it was wrong but my brain just could not figure it out... spell check didn't catch it either. So anyway just so you all know I just had my brain catch up 9 days later!! Yes it took that long to process, because all the sudden I just thought oh you spell phase with a ph duh..... Do you think something is wrong with me? I am just getting old? I am too busy and stressed out? Or I have just been out of school too long!! I really just wanted everyone to know I am not as stupid as I look!

Maddie's 14th Birthday party....

For Maddie's Birthday this year instead of having a big party, she just invited Kendeyl... Jaimie and I took the two of them to Las Vegas/St George to see Cirque de soleil. The show was amazing, and we had a great time. We shopped, went to the show ate cheeseburgers and shakes, and most importantly found this mask in the trunk as we pulled up.... (below)
Maddie walked into the hotel checking in with the mask on, Kendeyl wore it through the drive through when we ordered shakes.... and the best was they set him up just so (below again) for the maids....
The funny thing was the maids cleaned the room moved him to the other bed and set him up on the other bed. We had soo much fun! Happy 14th Madz Louise

Happy Birthday Miss Madeleine

Today is Maddie's 14th Birthday!! Holy Cow does time fly!! I remember looking at her as a little baby and just wondering what she would look like when she was 4..... now here we are 10 years after that! She is a beautiful girl and always has been. This is my all time favorite picture of her, it was at my sister Audrey's wedding.... she was in 4 weddings that same year and she loved it, in fact she was in a Bride Magazine for one of them.... so lets just say she is a little famous!!

We'll give you a little picture recap of her life thus far!!
This is her 14 years ago today! She was so beautiful.... all I ever wanted to be was a mom and this is the day I became one. I would give anything right now to go back to this day and do it all again. I have so loved being her mother and thank her for the opportunity! She was 8lbs and 61/2 oz when she was born she had this cute little fat roll on her back. And these long dark eyebrows. She had brown hair, so people at church wondered if she was really our child.

This is her first pictures we had taken, I had to buy every pose! This was also her blessing dress, I loved it my grandma made it for her!

This was her first swimming suit, check out those fat legs... well whole body... don't you just want to squeeze her! She loved the water right from the beginning too.

This was her at 6 months.... she thought she was so cute in her hat, but wasn't she? I used to call my mom to tell her all the great things Maddie could/would do, my mom started calling her amazing Maddie kind of jokingly, but she really was amazing and I loved that she was mine and just wanted to share how great she was..... She slept through the night at 3 weeks old, she did not get sick at all until she was 15months old, the weekend Hayden was born actually. She didn't even cry when she got shots. She really was amazing, I think I needed her to be that way because we had Hayden coming so soon. She walked at 9 months and could talk before Hayden was born.... well the kind of talk a mom understands... she called Hayden my baby Hane. I always felt bad she was kicked out of being the baby so early but I think she knew it all along and I ended up loving them so close in age! She was a total binky baby she loved her binky and would walk around with one in her mouth and one in each hand, and they were those stinky binkies you couldn't buy we had to go to the hospital and beg for more. You can tell now sometimes she loved her binky because she says words like chocolate funny, because she learned to talk with her binky in her mouth, now hold your tongue down and try to say chocolate!!

This is her and I in California on the beach she absolutely loves the beach and always has!!

Is she not so stinkin cute!! She used to say Easy beezy bootiful color girl... that is what this pose was.. (easy breezy beautiful cover girl for those of you that can't translate!)

Ok now I am crying because she is so dang cute and I don't want her to grow up so fast!! SLOOOOW DOOWN!!

Her and her dad.

Oh how I miss the dress up faise!! This is her on her 3rd birthday, she loved all the princess dress ups so much! She lived in them all the time. Oh man I need another little girl. I love the dress up stuff!

This is Maddie's very first dance class. She took from Karen Hudson, she was barely 3 check out those legs!!

Here is her first school picture, really I could eat her up those cheeks!!

She loved getting her picture taken I don't think that has changed too much!! Last year on school picture day she came home with like 3 or 4 different proofs (in the spring) she had sat their posing different funny dance ish poses and so the photographer kept taking her picture while the class laughed.

This was her first day of kindergarten, she did not want me to take her to school, so I let her ride the bus but followed it to school she wasn't thrilled about me getting her picture getting off the bus, or about me crying as she walked into school. (Maddie, one day you'll understand!) I used to embarrass her so easily!! Which is weird I don't now when most kids are embarrassed of their parents but as a 4 or 5 year old she was usually mortified by me. She really wanted me to go get a job and have fake nails and drive a VW bug....(now she wants her own bug she is a great money saver so we'll see only 2 years to go aaahhhh) One time I came to get her from tumbling with wet hair (she was 4) she walked out looked at me with the look of utter disgust and walked straight past me... when we got in the car she said "don't ever come get me with wet hair again!"

She has always been so independent, on her first day of pre-school she said as we pulled up, don't get out I want to go in all by myself... and that is how she has always been!!

Her in Disneyland...

Maddie FINALLY with a sister. She wanted a sister so bad and for a long time! She talked about her sister Olivia since she was 2 years old... she was not born until Maddie was almost 6. This is one of the main reasons why we gave Olivia her name...

Maddie loves babies!!! She loves to hold them for hours she loves the way they smell and everything!! She is so great with kids too!

Here is another dance photo (Kendeyl, Kelsey and Madz) aren't they so cute, these 3 were best buddies!! She and Kendeyl are still best buddies!

This is her with her dad on her baptism day, her second white dress down and only one to go was what I cried about this day! Man if you haven't gathered I am a baby and can't stand how fast my kids grow up!! I just want to freeze them. Check out Tom this is when he had won a weight loss contest at work!! slim and trim... looking good! She seemed way to grown up this day, but now look how little she looks!!

Just a school picture, 3rd grade....

Here she is at Lake Powell, she loves the lake and water of any sort!! She started to wake board when she was only 4, she water skies and knee boards, and she even cliff jumps and did that at 4 too, but her favorite of all is the tube. She is so brave ever since she was pretty little she liked to ride with the big guys because she likes the rough rides, not the kid rides! She really should have been raised in Hawaii or somewhere I could totally see her as a surfer girl!!

She is a determined/ competitive girl as well. She can master whatever she puts her mind to....One time when she was only 3 or 4 we were at Payson Lake, we had this little paddle boat and she wanted to ride it all by herself, I felt she was just too little... we fought and fought about it finally I pushed her out into the lake so mad at her all by herself... Tom looked at me like I was crazy, I said I want to show her she can't do it herself, I will swim out after her. She was so small she had to lay down to reach the pedals, the little stinker though rode it out turned it around and came back without even looking up to see where she was really going, got back to shore stepped off the boat and looked at me like hmmmm to small huh... I don't think so!! I have never underestimated her since.

I know this is totally turning into a bragging post, but I am totally proud of the girl she has become!! She is a 4.0 student and spends 13 hours a week dancing or tumbling.... She is amazing Maddie!

Here she is in Hawaii with Madison Park since she went she wants to live there!

Here she is with Kendeyl Belle again, they have danced together since they were 3!

Here she is at the Stadium of Fire with the Park girls(Ashlyn & Madison) she loves doing this, she never complains about the heat or the long hard practices, I think she really enjoys the whole thing!!

And last here she is just this last Christmas with her American girl dolls, she (and Olivia and I) love to collect them!!

Anyway there you go!! I love you Maddie girl and am so proud of who you are! Happy Birthday and slow down, you move too fast!!! By the way her middle name is not Louise that is just a nick name Jaimie gave her...

Home Depot, a gift card, one week &

Voila.... we have a new Bedroom! So last Friday Canyon came up to me and said "Hey mom can we go to Home Depot and get some paint for my room?" Sure I said, I had been meaning to paint his room for a long time and just needed his push I guess. Poor little guy has been living in a "girls" room for a whole year now! So we headed to Home Depot I had gotten some gift cards for Christmas and it was high time I use them... In home depot we picked his color and I bought some wood to put up on the walls, being he has a boat bed I wanted to give it a Nautical feel... He said "I love Home Depot"...

Here are some before and after pictures... This girly room is what he has had... yes with Olivia's name and dress up on the shelf

Nothing else on the walls either just the bed that is boyish...

Here is the room half way through our project... gone are the days of finishing projects in 1 day our lives are way too busy... but one week start to finish isn't too shabby!!

Here are just a few more shots of our finished project....
I love to paint rooms for not a lot of money you can totally transform a room.... I haven't changed anything in my house for a long time either and am really starting to feel outdated. Now I will just sit in Canyon's room smell the paint and enjoy something newer... I do really like how the wood on the wall turned out if I do say so myself...

Doesn't it just make you want to be at a house on the lake (my dream) or the ocean? It does me, I think I must really have a beach ish fetish. Olivia has a Hawaiian room with a surf board etc. (I'll have to post a picture) I guess I am just trying desperately to bring the beach to my house!

Little Canny man in his new room, he was so excited. He could not wait to paint it! It was a really long week for him.

Happy Valentines Day

Every Year for Valentines, my mom puts on a dinner for all of the adults in my family at her house. It is always so much fun, we don't have to wait for 90 minutes in a restaurant, we have a good dinner and a great time. Some years we play games including the Newlywed game (which I believe my parents won) and others we just talk. This year we just talked and laughed a lot!! The boys humor really feeds off each other and really makes for a good time!!
The top picture is Autumn and Miotch...aren't they a cute couple, someone once told me that you and the person you marry should have noses that match. Theirs match really well..... lets check out everyone Else's.... Corbin and Jaimie ....yep actually their smiles really match as well.
Me and Tom... I wouldn't think our noses matched but in this picture they look like they do.....They would have to I guess we have been married (and happy) for almost 16 years and we do have pretty cute kids....

Mike and Amber, they are too far apart to tell..... j/k it looks like they have the same shading on the side so yep! Mike was joking around in this picture, he felt like I was harassing him like when you go to pick up a girl for a dance and her parents just want to take photos...

Shawna and Andrew (and Xman) I think yes they both have a thinner nose then the rest of us...

And last but not least.... My parents and yes it does match really well!! Good thing they have been married 42 years!! Thanks so much for the great time we love you both!!
Sorry Nat & Josh, Audrey and Dan you left before I pulled the camera out.... and Troy and Blanca we missed you both!

So Today I had Flowers show up in a box on my doorstep..... They are the cutest tulips ever. I usually think Valentines is such a lame holiday but I was honestly really excited I totally loved them. What I loved the most was the card that came with them and the surprise of course!!

Here is the card, Tom is just so funny even when he is being totally serious....

As for him being an "ass" I can count probably on one hand the amount of times it has happened.... it certainly is not that few the other way around. (Me being the butt I mean) Check out the picture below for a picture of the last time he sent me flowers on Valentines day (he has sent them other times) and their is a reason why he has not sent them since...

Here is "My Cool husband Tom" on our first married Valentines (I know)And here are the infamous flowers.... When we were first married lets just say things were a little more then tight.... So I am at work and these flowers get delivered, I thought they were so nice and I was super excited to get them, but the more I thought about it the more I kept thinking these had to be really expensive!! So I call the florist to find out exactly how much they cost..... $60 BUCKS!!! For real that was like a month's worth of groceries.... so I called Tom thanked him for the flowers (I hope I don't remember that part) but said DON'T ever send me flowers on Valentines day again!!

Anyway I hope everyone has a Happy Valentines day tomorrow, I think I shall have a new outlook on the holiday... it is fun for kids and should be a day to celebrate the love we all have for each other... right (my reason I think it is lame is because I think you should love each other and show it all the time but I guess a day set aside is a good idea?)
