Ok so I don't know if anyone has ever noticed that I have not ever even mentioned dance on my blog...... let alone post a picture or anything.... which is dumb because it is so much a part of our lives including my kids lives....( I do have a small video of liv at Christmas time but it just mentions I love all the recital and performances including school etc)...... Well last year when I started my blog I was in one of my really feeling guilty phases that I have gone through like crazy over the past 3 years for not spending every waking minute at home in my house with my kids.... I would look at other blogs and actually cry because I didn't have one or because I didn't have the time to have one therefore I was not a good mother. So when I started my blog I had promised myself it would be our life dance free and my kids could be like all the other kids who have moms at home blah blah..... (I never said I was rational). Well this year a few days after the year end recital I was helping at Olivia's school and one of the kids said your always a mom helper and I had this total ahah moment I can do both... This is our life I should record it and share it with others and there is nothing I should feel guilty about!! I spent 7 to 8 years as the Young Women's president or a counselor which takes up a lot of your time and never felt guilty about that......what is really the difference??? I am working with super cute teenage girls whom I truly love.... and then I have all these cute cute little ones I get to work with... I always wanted a whole house full of kids and I get to see these cute little faces each week and hear the funny things they have to say etc it couldn't get better.....In fact when I had one of my miscarriages (the farthest along one that I actually had to deliver the baby) I had a really hard time getting out of a very sad depression/ or funk whatever you want to call it, and what really pulled me out was my first day back teaching these cute little tiny ones, and I was ok after that. The fact is, is that dance really blesses our lives and I should celebrate it instead of acting like I just stay home all the time... It is a family run business, just like people in the olden days who had farms and all the family had to work, or even the Olsen's running their little store they all take a part... not like we want to be the Olsen's, but you know its just something we do as a family together... all of us. I am so lucky to have Tom as my business partner doing all the books and music and scenery etc etc.. Hayden helps with music and stuff too.... and the fact that I get to share this with my girls really is priceless Madz helps me all the time and we spend so much time together doing it... it may not be growing a garden together but none the less it is what we do together and I know it effects the lives of others too... hopefully in a good way, because I have had some great friendships built because of it my girls best friends come from dance and I have witnessed the strength first hand we have in the youth of our world.... They are so capable of doing great things and being great leaders... sorry this has been so long, but this is my journal (another area I am lacking so....) anyway this last recital got rained out, and I was really stressed out well... I looked over and saw a few teenage girls rounding up all the little ones and making a huge circle and saying a prayer together that it could stop raining and that everything would be ok etc... I was so impressed and proud to have them as my students.... anyway if you have managed to read this super long post thank you either way I hope you enjoy a few pictures of this last year... which has been our best year yet the girls won soo many overall awards and we had a lot of fun together.... You can see all the cute little faces of my little friends who I really do love and miss over this summer break (not enough to not take the break though!!) I also hope its ok that from now on I share a little dance in my "family blog" because it is really part of what makes us us!! So I have come out of the closet I work..... my two worlds have collided and we are better for it!!

Tiffany! I loved this post. I've always wondered why you never had any dance stuff on your blog since it's such a part of your life. I don't think you should feel one bit guilty about it. I'm always amazed by you and how you handle your business and can still manage to be such a good mom. I know all the kids in dance adore you, but more importantly, it is very evident that your own kids adore you so much. You're doing a great job with both and should feel proud of yourself that you can do it all. You're awesome!
FINALLY!! I'm glad you decided to post about dance, it is a HUGE part of your lives. you are AMAZING and I love your little face.. can't wait for Annie to start dancing! :)
I'm cryin...big surprise I know...
really Becky has said everything I want to but you HAVE to know that you ARE a "stay at home mom"...and like you said...this business of yours is run by your whole family. That in and of itself is amazing. I LOVE to watch your family in action together! You are all so funny together and happy all the time, and if you're not...well then you're SUPER at handling that with grace too. You are SUCH a beautiful person and I always tell Cameron how I LOVE that I have NEVER heard you or Tom raise your voices at your children...I hope to learn to do that from you. Really...I look up to you in so many ways and I am so grateful to have you in my life. I have NO CLUE why you feel guilty doing something so beautiful for your family and for your community. You are teaching your children how to work hard and run a business...which is impossible to teach without actually experiencing it...and the team work and everything else that comes from just taking dance classes, competing, ect. well everyone around you becomes your family. This is your calling Tiffany. You are blessing everyone around you with your gift, and that is something worth celebrating. What a beautiful gift you have too. I LOVED BOTH of the recitals. I thought it was so neat to watch all of your company gather together and make it a fun experience when it started pouring. You have taught everyone in your company how to handle very stressful situations with grace, and without freaking out. It was a beautiful thing to watch both the teachers and students. Anyway, my response has become a novel but I think you are SUCH an amazing woman, mother, and friend and you have set such a beautiful example to all around you. NEVER feel guilty about that!
p.s. (as if I haven't written enough) I soo appreciate you allowing me to have dance in my life just by watching your recitals. It was such a huge part of my life growing up and now not to have it and knowing I never will have it is a really hard thing to swallow. So thanks.
Carlye I yell like nobodies business ask anyone who lives near or with me... my kids would laugh if they were to read that!!!! Becky, Audreay and Carlye all thank you all are too nice!!
I agree that you shouldn't worry and have always wondered why you feel so guilty. I think you have taught your kids well. They have learned to give openly, learned to appreciate what they have in life, learned that you get out of life what you put into it and that you only get what you ask for. You can see by your two older kids that they have been raised well and Olivia and Canyon will be the same as well. I think your an amazing mom and have always looked up to you.
I really didn't mean for this to be a pat me on the back and tell me its ok kind of think just explaining my crazy thoughts but thanks everyone..... Just watch the pictures...
Tiffany, you are the best mom ever! I love having you as a neighbor, but more importantly as my friend! We have had these conversations many, many times. To be a good mom does not mean you are home 24 hours a day, it is what you teach your children. You have wonderful kids and that is a definite reflection of who their parents are and what you have taught them!
Tiff, I agree with ALL the comments posted- no guilt my friend, you're doing great!
Love,
Stacy
i agree with everyone else!!!! you are a great mom!!! your kids are very lucky and same with all your cute students!!! cute pic video!!
Tiffany, You should not feel guilty to blog about dance! It is a huge part of not only your life but your whole family. We love Tiffany Dance and can't wait for next year! Blog all you want :) Love this post
Kristin
